Our Trip to Carmel Valley!

For Memorial Day Weekend, we took a trip down to Carmel Valley to visit Greg's Grandparents, Harriet and Larry a.k.a. Gram and Grandad! The drive down was great only taking us about 2.5 hours, Noah slept about an 1.5 of it. The drive back..well a whole other story. Sunday it took us 5 HOURS to get home! Took us 2 hours to get through San Francisco. I was hopping from the front seat to the back seat through the city to comfort Noah. He slept over 2 hours in the car but once we hit the city it was tough. All in all he did great but there were times where I needed to entertain the poor guy. Anywho...moving on to the fabulous weekend!

Waiting for us while we packed up the car, happy as can be.

On Saturday, we took a drive along the coast to Big Sur.

The drive was absolutely beautiful! The views were so amazing and the weather could not have been any better. With only a few clouds in the sky, you could see the ocean pretty clearly!

Gram and Grandad were so happy to see Noah and enjoyed spending a lot of time with him. On Saturday, we spent a lot of time in the car checking out Carmel/Big Sur/Monterey. I loved it! (Might I add that Harriet and Larry are great tour guides!!) Noah did pretty well on the driving, there were some times where he was ready to get out but he was pretty entertained by his Great Gram in the back seat!

In Big Sur, we stopped at Ventana Inn for lunch. The view was gorgeous on this clear day and the food was top notch delicious!

After lunch, we drove over to Monterey and walked around down by the wharf. It was pretty crowded down there so we decided to put Noah in the back pack. (Thanks John and Angi for letting us borrow the back pack!) He absolutely loved it. He was kicking around and loving the view from up high! Greg felt like he was being pulled on.

Love this photo!

Noah loving Bailey. I'm pretty sure Noah is taking after his dad and becoming a dog lover. Any dog he sees, he gets so excited. Unfortunately, Bailey is not the biggest fan of kids, she almost seems afraid :) But by the last day we were there, Bailey got a little use to Noah.

We really had a great trip down to Carmel Valley. Noah loves his Great Grandparents and you could really tell. Every time he would see them, his face would light up and he would have a huge smile on his face. I honestly can't wait to go back, and I think Noah feels the same way!
